Now, the Familia kitchen series has been honored in the prestigious design competition GOOD DESIGN, organized by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture & Design and Metropolitan Arts Press Ltd. The GOOD DESIGN Award is given for quality design of the best form, function, and aesthetics. <br><br>GOOD DESIGN was established in Chicago in 1950 by Edgar J. Kaufmann. Jr, in collaboration with such design pioneers as: Eero Saarinen, Charles and Ray Eames and Florence Knoll. <br> <br>Ole Jensen says: “Today it is difficult to separate the kitchen from service, or service from the kitchen. Therefore, it was natural to make the Familia pots in connection with the Familia dinner service. The pots are simple and unrefined – perhaps even primitive in their form language. They are designed to radiate warmth, life, and appetite. When ordinary objects are revealed as something engagingly new, our daily life becomes particularly valuable. The Familia series are kitchen tools that I myself would like to put on the table.”<br></text> <datepublish>2008-01-10</datepublish> <facts></facts> </news> <news menuid="3_1_48" productid="0" id="101"> <image>Content/469/norm-03-detail-2.jpg</image> <headline>Best luxury shop in Copenhagen</headline> <text>On December 1, Normann Copenhagen showroom was awarded the best luxury shop in Copenhagen with 37 percent of the votes.
